| Eco-tour of Wong Tai Sin Temple Fun Day |

In 2010, we set ourself to be a “Green Organization”, promote environmental protection policies and projects. By 2012 we obtained funding from the Environment and Conservation Funding Committee in making subsidiaries under Sik Sik Yuen, including educational, medical, social service and the Wong Tai Sin Temple, actively carry out projects under the slogan of “Sik Sik Yuen•To Make a Green Temple•To Build a Green Organization””. Of these Wong Tai Sin Temple obtained funding to develop the first “Incense Smoke & Odour Collection & Filtering System” and “Incense Ash Regeneration Program” hopefully using the Temple as a platform to raise public awareness on environmental protection.
Relevant project was completed in 2016 and “Eco-tour of Wong Tai Sin Temple” Fun Day was held on 21 January 2017, announcing to the public on project completion and spreading information on environmental protection. On the day of the Opening Ceremony, we had the honour in having Mr Wong Kam-sing, G.B.S., JP Secretary for the Environment, Mr. Lam Chiu Ying, SBS Chairman of Environmental Movement Committee, Mr. Ting Chi Wai, District Councilor member of Wong Tai Sin and Mr. Syrus Tsui, Assistant District Officer of Wong Tai Sin District to be our guests of honour. Our short film on environmental protection was shown at the ceremony and Mr. Wong and our Chairman displayed the mobile phone Apps on “Wong Tai Sin Temple Eco-Tour”.

On the same day, there were four community seminars. Mr. Lam Chiu Ying was the first guest speaker, followed by Mr. Yip Man Ki, Mr. Chan Wing Li and Lau Ka Keung, respectively in the remaining sessions, attracting an audience of some 260 persons in total.

Seven stalls were erected in the open area, four for environmental workshops, one each for food preparation, computer multimedia games and environmental exhibition area, respectively, some 4000 persons visited the stalls.
